LAYOUT DRAWING: TUTORIAL

Step 12: UPDATE LAYOUT BOUNDING BOX

Any module has a bounding box which determines the way the module is displayed.
CDM-Rail automatically computes the display window, so that the layout or module bounding box fills the active
display area optimally.

In the case of our tutorial example, the layout bounding box still has the default dimensions, namely:
X = 400 cm / Y = 300 cm.

We now want to update the bounding box dimensions, in order to improve the layout display.

From the main menu bar, select

"Edit/Module" >> "Set module bounding box"

The module dimension defintion window pops up.

Here, we want to automatically set the bounding box to layout dimensions (second radio button).

After clicking OK, the layout displays as follows

Figure 12-2: after "auto" bounding box update.

You may also set the bounding box to any origin and dimensions you wish, when ckicking on the first radio button
(figure 12-1).

In next step, we are going to draw the remaining tracks, on sidings.
